Glock 31/32 vs. Smith M&P .357 sig
Hello all,
I had my mind set on a P238 last week as a new CCW piece. Then I shot one and really didnt see the need to upgrade from my LCP-IF anyone here has any great reason too I have got a great deal on a BNIB two tone for $500 I also have been looking at a glock 31. Then I ran across a M&P .357 sig full size. with a CT laser grip. Its in pristine condition and he wants $450!!!!. and I can get 750 rds from the guy for a song. THe glock was nice because I can get the 9mm barrel and I have some G17 mags. The only glock I own is a G20 and that is because SIG doesn't make a 10mm. Any thoughts on that M&P???? I have never shot one, never spent anytime at all with one. Thanks! Damo |

Re: Glock 31/32 vs. Smith M&P .357 sig
I like M&Ps better than Glocks. They fit my hand better, and I usually shoot them better.
However, if I were to pick up any .357 Sig pistol, it would be a Sig. If I were to pick one of the guns that you listed, then I would go with a Glock 32. I would go that route because I currently carry a Glock 19. I would like to get a .357 Sig as a carry gun and I know it is much easier for me to conceal a Glock 32 than a full size Glock or M&P. But that is a sweet price on that M&P and would certainly be hard to turn down.... I'm actually not sure if I would be able tom *That being said, I would have jumped on that P238 in a heartbeat. Those are the softest recoiling and most accurate .380 pistols that I have ever shot. |

get the M&P. With just a barrel change you can go 40 S&W with the same mags.

I want to be clear that I only want to use a 9mm conversion. Not a .40. Cleaned out all my .40's and lots of ammo. All I have now is 9mm, 10mm, 380 and I want the 357 sig. Not sure what ill do. Still may go back and buy that P238 and hold off on the sig. That M&P just seemed to be a hell of a deal. Hard to pass that up for a tight wad like me!

If you are a big SIG fan, which sounds like you are, makes the most sense to me to wait til you have the funds for a SIG in...357 SIG. I think they were involved in its creation or something. ![]() Just one note on the 357 SIG, from owning one and being around those that do. It's an awesome round. But it is LOUD, painfully so to me. Be sure to use hearing protection.

The 239 Sig in .357 Sig with a 9mm bbl. and mags isn't a bad way to go. the Glock 32 is a real plain jane, but it is sized right and shoots the .357 Sig great as well. The Glock is definitely the economical approach. The Sig setup as described with seven mags nightsights and Hogue grips cost me $750. I love it. Hope this helps.

That is a great deal on the m&p. If it were me, I would grab it in a heartbeat.

One of the main reasons the Full Size M&P 357Sig/40S&W has been my main carry weapon over the last couple of years is the Crimson Trace Integrated Laser within the backstrap. Laser allows you to focus on the target and not on the sights and target which is almost impossible. Crimson Trace makes laser grips for glocks but they are not as neatly integrated or mated to the weapon in my opinion.
