Barnes match burner data needed .224
I picked up some Barnes match burners in 69gr .224 for my AR. The only data I found was on hodgdons website, but it's for Sierras 69gr match. I was hoping to see what Barnes had for powders listed.

I noticed on hodgdons website they list 2.235 for the OAL. I will be shooting these from my AR, would I be able to use 2.250"?

As long as the Barnes bullet has the same profile as the Sierra bullet of the data you found, you can use the same data for your Barnes bullet that they used for the Sierra.
Use whatever OAL that works in your rifle. If it fits, and it the sweet spot for your rifle, and everything goes good, use the OAL that you want. I'm working on a .308 right now, where my OAL is .225" longer than what it says in the manual, but that OAL fits my rifle without touching the lands at all. |

I talked to a Barnes rep today, he told me to use the SMK data also. He said they made that bullet to specifically compete with sierras match bullet.

As long as the bullets are basically made the same, as in "monolithic" like the Barnes TSX line or traditional "cup and core", which is lead core, copper jacket, you can interchange any data. The danger comes in using traditional bullet data for monolithic bullets, because solid bullet produce more pressure than traditional bullets with identical charges.
