Trigger group question

Hey guys I have a trigger group that came from an anderson lower parts kit. I want to put it in my sig m400 ar but i notice the anderson hammer does not have the notch and is a little bit taller as well. Everything seems to cycle fine with it in i just dont know if it will damage the rifle since it is taller.
thanks.

A slight difference in the height won't matter as long as it functions. As for not having the "notch", Do you mean the notch at the bottom rear of the hammer where the trigger engages or on the top back of the hammer for an M16 hammer?

Pictures would help. Also pictures of the trigger since they work together.

i dont have a camera. spend all my money on ammo. its just a standard ar trigger group i think and the sig uses a hammer that was meant for the un-shrouded bolt carrier..i think.
