We don't have to convince you to buy a CZ. Go shoot one. That alone will be enough to convince you. They're reliable and very accurate.

Yep. Agree here. Took a 75BD to the range today just to remind me how awesome it is.

The proof is in the shooting! I prefer the P-01 myself and many are quite satisfied with the PCR. Both are light and small enough for carry. Speaking for the P-01, it is very accurate for a Compact and I prefer the decocking system that CZ uses on it and the PCR. When you decock, the hammer goes to half-cock rather than going all the way down to the slide. It makes for a very good and shorter first shot DA pull. The main diffence between the two pistols is the light rail on the P-01's Forged aluminum frame whereas the PCR has no rail and is Cast aluminum if that matters to you. The P-01 is one of very few pistols that have gone through the rigorous testing procedures to get it's NATO certification. I tested mine directly to a SIG/Sauer P-228 that my shooting partner owned. They're pretty comparable, but the P-01 was the more accurate pistol.

My CZ-75D PCR rides in the Bianchi holster my Sig P228 used to go in. Perfect fit, and I like the CZ a lot more.

If you shoot a CZ75, that's all the convincing you'll need. Out of all the CZ's I've owned I have never been disappointed. My favorite for fall/winter carry is the P01 9mm, summer I use a CW9. All have been very accurate, reliable and they feel like a natural extension of my arm.

ON AVERAGE...I have noticed a lot of CZ and Ruger owners don't have much experience with other guns and make wild statements that aren't substantiated by experience with other great guns.

One thing not mentioned is the triggers can be quite rough and require work. Single action tends to cam for example. Work costs money.

My experience is that every veteran shooter that has had a chance to shoot my CZ is positively affected by it (especially its feel and its accuracy).

Mr. McCane, I've been shooting handguns for over 35 years and I've owned most all of them from Sigs, H&Ks, Glocks, SA, Rugers, etc., etc., etc. IMO, once the trigger is broken in from firing and dry firing, few DA pistols have a better trigger than the CZ P-01. Then consider the hammer only falls to half-cock when you decock the pistol. Not only is that first DA pull as smooth as it gets, it only requires half the stroke of other DA/SA pistol designs making it a better option as a carry pistol, IMO.

Regarding Ruger, I feel that they now make the best polymer framed striker-fired pistol on the market. It's easily the best bargain in any case. After buying an SR9 that has proven exceptional in all areas and especially in accuracy, I sold my cherished SA XDm 4.5 in .45 ACP and bought an SR45 that is at least the equal of the XDm with either being superior to Glocks or M&Ps, IMO.

CZ 75...Convince me

Psuedo copy/paste here but i agree that much:

Mr. McCane, I've been shooting handguns for over 5 years and I've owned most all of them from Sigs, Glocks, Colt, S&W, Rugers, Bersa, Caracal, RIA, Etc. CZ is my favorite. Favorite overall. I know you said on average (all caps) but if you borrow a bunch or just have someone tell you that CZs are one of the best and buy one, you may not be so quick to buy others.

Regarding Ruger, I feel that they now make one of the best polymer framed striker-fired pistol on the market. After buying an SR9c that has proven exceptional in all areas it is now my suggestion to anyone looking for a compact (not subcompact). Ahead of glock, XD and M&Pc. I imagine it won't be long until I get other SRs to keep it company.

ON AVERAGE... I have noticed statements like the one above are made by persons with little experience with averages or statistics and make wild statements that aren't substantiated by statistical methods but instead confuse empirical evidence with fact.

Read that tongue in cheek.

Go shoot the gun f you can. If you have to purchase one without first firing it then you need to decide how much to rely on other's opinions.

Here is my endorsement. My son-in-law wanted to buy something to protect my daughter. You bet I am 100% interested in this process. After a few months of searching, I find a CZ 75C. I tell him to buy it or I am going to get it for myself.

I have shot three different Glocks, three different Sigs (owned one of them), Beretta 92, Ruger SR9, Browning Hi Powers, S&W 49 family, and the CZ 85 and 75.

As for accuracy, the CZ 85, Beretta 92, the Hi Power, Sigs, Glocks, and S&W were all equally accurate. I like a pistol to hit (POI) right above of the POA, that is right at the top tip edge of the front sight. Some of those mentioned didn't shoot that way, and I can't remember which didn't, but I know the CZ and the Brownings did. I am talking from 10 to 25 yards.

Negotiate the best price you can that way if you don't like a gun you can turn it around and try something else.

I bought my CZ after owning the Browning Hi-Power. During my research of the Hi-Power I discovered a kind gentleman named Stephen Camp. I emailed him and he was quick to answer my questions. He passed away shortly thereafter. On his website I found mention of a strange gun, the CZ 75. I had grown to trust Mr. Camp so much that I began looking for one, found one, held it, and was intrigued. Then Hickok45 and GunBlast reviewed the CZ and the next day I bought. I have been happy ever since.

CZ Custom is showing a new CZ compact that has the alloy lower, rail, and a SAFETY, not the decocker. I like the safety as I go from CZ to Browning, to a 1911.

When I carry I eliminate the differences in my firearms manual of arms by carrying "Israeli style", that is condition three. Loaded mag, safety off, no round in the chamber. If I feel a high level of concern or threat I will move to "cocked and locked", only to return to C3 after I am feeling safer. That way I don't have to worry if I have the CZ, the Browning, a S&W, Glock, or whatever, I do the same thing every time, draw, rack, raise, aim, move finger onto trigger, and fire.
