M1 30 Caliber Ammo
A friend called me today and said that he has 1000 rounds of military 30 caliber ammo in 2 sealed cans. Any idea what they might be worth?
He nor I have a 30 caliber gun. Maybe on Tuesday he will get me some pictures of the cans. |

Sealed in which decade? All military M1 Carbine ammo is non-corrosive, but not the case with .30-'06.

I was told they are carbine on 5 round stripper clips.
Should see them on Tuesday or Wednesday. |

Doesn't M1 Carbine use a 10-round stripper that attaches to the magazine?

It kind of sounds like .30-06 M2 ball on Springfield Strippers. Again, who made it, when was it made, and what condition is the ammo and cans in?

The friend that has the ammo wife had surgery on Monday and still in the hospital. I am hoping to get with him on Thursday.

On five round strippers it's either .30-06 or 7.62X51.
.30 Carbine was packaged on tren round strippers. |
