The law is pretty clear, whether we like it or not. As responsible citizens, it is our duty and our privilege to obey the law.
hogwash

It is our duty and privilege to get asinine and unjust laws changed.
There is no privilege in obeying a stupid law.

From the boston tea party to prohibition to the end of jim crow laws, Americans have a long and proud history of fighting injustice, legal or not.
So next time you have a sip of wine or beer, remember it is only possible because the government lost the war on that drug and had to give in to the american citizens who didnt see the law as a privilege.
You owe your rights... to felons.... remember to send a thank you card

It is a privilege to live in this country; we enjoy its freedoms and we put up with its inconveniences.
It is my right to live in this country, not a privilege.
This is a country that stands up for what's right, not a country that bends over and takes it because it was written into law.... next time you see a woman or black person vote, remember that

That is one of the saddest, most defeatist attitudes i've seen on here. If most Americans really did follow those beliefs, then we'd still be waiving the british flag, sipping tea, and singing god save the queen.

What would you do? Besides lobbying for a change in the statute, i mean.
nope. start with a letter.... and go from there.
either that, or face the consequences.
