I would take a look at the Remington SPS or ADL if you want a synthetic stock. The ADL's can sometimes be found pretty cheap. The SPS has a nice trim and handy stock.
If you like wood, I'd look at the CDL. I saw a .243 CDL that was a nice gun. It'll have the new recoil pad to soften the recoil even more.
The model 7 would make a nice, light and handy gun in .243.
The titanium is nice, but expensive. Especially for a back-up gun that you might have to loan to a buddy someday. But if you have the cash, that would be a really cool .243!
