My Bedford Country rifle

Dreams do come true ! I just had the opportunity to accuire a Bedford style Rifle that was built by the well known contemporary riflesmith G.Rummell from the Bedford Pennsylvania area. It is an early Peter White circa 1803, with a 42" Green Mt. .50 caliber barrel, small Siler flintlock, exhibition grade curly maple stock, raise carved, engraved brass patchbox, engraved sideplate, and toe plate and two engraved sterling silver inlays. All the brass and silver parts were hand made and the stock carved from a slab of maple.
I have wanted a long rifle of this style for many, many years and finally got one.

My new deer rifle !
