I was looking for a sling kit for my 7400 at Cabela's and the closest thing I found for mine was a Uncle Mikes kit for a 7600. The kit for the 7600 does have a band that clamps around the barrel. I later got the correct kit for mine from Jake at Uncle Mikes.

Uncle Mike's model # for the Remington 7600 is #14412. Price from www.unclemikes.com is $15.94.
