"Brass" translates to "ottone".

So if the "B" means brass it may have been applied after the revolver came to the us or the importer may have specified the serial number start with a B for brass revolvers.

OR

The "B" has no connection whatever with the fact that the frame is brass.

Anyway....I degress.

I wonder if BPREVOLVER might have some info on serial numbers.
