Rainier recommends using lead data, Berrys recommends jacketed. It doesn't really matter because 45acp isn't going to go above the velocity window recommended by either maker. Generally you want to stay below 1200 FPS, no problem for 45acp. A slight taper crimp is all you need for the cartridge anyway and you aren't going to crack the plating doing that.
