The Beretta is possibly the most easily cleaned pistol, ever. I can't speak for the HK, but I simply can't imagine anything being easier (pull tab, slide off, pull out barrel, done!)
FWIW, the .40 PX4 I've shot was very controllable, accurate, and most importantly, comfortable. Far more comfortable than any similar poly-gun I've held (which doesn't include a P2000).
