Really any rifle in a higher caliber than .22 or .17hmr will do er. I'd be using the .223, a good amount of coyote hunters do.

I've killed a couple with a .22lr ..... shoot 'em in the chest...... their lungs fill with blood and they'll stop runnin' ......
You also don't have to worry abouta lot of pelt damage that way, either.
