Its one of the few "modern" cleaners that actually dissolve jacket metal & lead fouling. Its a 2-parrt system, a carbon remover with mild metal solvents & a copper/lead solvent thats thicker & more concentrated. As neither use ammonia as a slovent the smell is much less strong & its water soluable for cleaning your brushes Etc. It won't eat your steel barrels & it can be left in to soak like the old Hoppes.

I also just got some of the lube they sell, but havent tried it yet.
