DOES NOT recoil harder...
than a 27-06 with a 130 grain bullet...
when the bullet departs the muzzle of the same weight rifle, at the same velocity...
Way before the popularity of the .270, and for all these decades since, the 30-06 has been used as the
"ONE RIFLE", one cartridge, first time ("family") rifle almost as much as the old 30-30 was in
its' hayday. For many years it was the
ONLY rifle we had in our family and when I came of age to have my own rifle... it, too, was a bolt action 30-06...
Oh yes... and it helps if you know how to
read your own high school diploma...
