Reliable, easy to shoot well, good size for carry and use, and every part in it is available through multiple sources. It is easy to modify if needed, but works well right out of the box.
No it is not pretty, and it doesn't do any one thing exceptionally well, but it does do everything that can be asked from a 9mm to an acceptable level. That is why many people that work in positions requiring an easy to conceal reliable 9mm will choose a Glock 19.
