I've heard nothing but good things about the Remington 700s.... but what about its cousin the 720? I mentioned finding a 720 in 7MM NIB for $330 today at an unnamed retailer, and called a friend about it. He said stay away from the 720s, but couldn't exactly remember why he had heard that.

Anybody weigh in on this?

Am I jackass or something, because I can find nothing on a Remington 720 except BS from back in the 40s, hell, even Remington website doesn't list it as a current model. But I swear, on the barrel it had the Remington Stamp, Model 720, 7MM, brand new synthetic stock, in the case, I held it! Right next to a Remington Model 710 in .270
