Get the Kimber, or consider as well the Remington Enhanced or the Springfield Range Officer.
Don't buy the Kimber until you at least check out the Enhanced and Range
Officer.

Remington, Colt Series 80 system
Springfield, so-called Series 70 system (the original 1911 design going back to grandpappy's days.
Colt had the Swartz safety in the late 1930s, dropped it for WWII production,
never went back to it. Instead created the current system adopted in the 1980s.
