Same thing will happen if you use too much brass polish. It sucks and .223 is the worst, it's much less of a problem with .308, .303, .38 Spl, etc. The .223 seems to be exactly the perfect size to cause a congealed mess inside the case. If you put the polish in first and let it mix around for 5 minutes, it should be less of an issue- or use less wax/polish....
