My dad bought me a 6" Python in 1979 as a matriculation present for graduating from college. I killed a nice mule deer with that same year.
My son shot it for the first time the other day and marveled at its incredible accuracy. We were shooting pumpkins and the small tight group was evident.
It's good to know that it will go to someone who appreciates it for what it is someday when I'm gone. But I can't give it to him until then because it reminds me of my dad who we lost in 2005.
