A question this different from the original query,Lock 33, would be better as a new thread, but since you asked.....

Look at the serial number.After the numbers should be a letter.On 12 gauges, if the suffix is v, it's a 2 3/4" receiver. M means Magnum and is for 3" shells.

800-243-9700 is Remington's service line. Work through the phone tree and when a real person shows up, they will tell you when it was made and for what shells.
