Have you tried soft rubber coated pliers with a tight fitting dowel or soket in the tube to keep it from collapsing, and then turning it! I do believe they are threaded in the receiver. But first l'd soak it with some Kroil or wd or something like that, odds are there is some corrosion in there.
If all else fails try a gunhack, I mean a gunsmith.
