If you plan on keeping it fully loaded for long periods use the longer spring. Change it and the rounds every year or so. Shotgun mag springs have a more difficult job than almost any other magazine spring. They are compressed much more and will weaken over time. I use Wollf extra power springs (which is what Wilson sells I think). Buy extras. I just buy 8 round springs and cut them to fit whatever size magazine it's going in. If the last round doesn't snap onto the carrier just as hard as the first one did then it doesn't really matter how many rounds the gun will hold. Some shotshells will swell under long compression and may not chamber when you need it. Inspect them every 4 months. And practice with that thing. Spare firing pin springs and extractor springs are also a good thing to have on hand.
