On hand I have: Varget, Imr4064, cfe223, blc2 and h335
I loaded some reduced recoil loads for my daughter a couple years back with IMR 4064 (46.0gr, IIRC) and 130 gr Speers.... she dropped a doe DRT with it. Out of the 10 lb rig (scoped Remmy 721) she used, it did not kick at all.

I use 46 grains of H335 or 47 grains of IMR4064 to get 3K f/sec with 110 gr V-Max bullets for prairie dogs and milk jugs. I burn far more of the 4064 in my .270 than anything else. I've used it for everything from 90 grain Speer HP to nearly every brand of conventional cup and core 130 gr spitzer out there (whatever was on sale!)

Other powders I have used that worked well: H414, H4831, and H4831SC (metered better than the 4831, but not always available at my LGS). The H414 had a smaller SD and less velocity variation due to low powder temps when used with a magnum primer.

H1000 did not perform up to published data.
