looking at various handguns in 40 sw that i can get for around 500 and under.

the list.

Beretta PX4 storm
Bersa Thunder
CZ p-07
Ruger SR40
Sig Suaer P250 Nitron
S&W M&P40
Taurus 840
Springfield XD40
Glock 22

Priority is Reliability, Durability, Accuracy, Capacity in that order.
