The 12-50 is way too much for any practical shooting. I use a 3-12x50 PMII for 1000 yard shooting regularly. It is actually my favorite S&B scope.

The 5-25 has 0.1 mil clicks not 0.01 mil.

A 175 SMK at 2650 will have about 2.4 mils drift at 1000 yards with a 10 mph cross.
