If a gun owner or concealed license holder travels often or has a lot of legal ?s, I suggest these sites; www.gunlawguide.com or www.handgunlaw.us . David Wong, a WA lawyer put out a travel guide to gun & knife laws too.
Be aware of the use of force & gun laws where you visit or travel. Some states or cities may have strict laws.
And no, not all cops or troopers you may meet will be "understanding" or let you go. This goes for off duty sworn LE or military members too.
I worked with a sworn patrol deputy who took a family trip. On his return he told our security group how he was pulled over 3 different times!
