If youre going to go with the 357SIG, I'd look at the 31 over the 33. The 357SIG does better in the longer barrels. If you go shorter, youre probably better off with 9mm.
I was a die hard .45 fan most of my life until I got my first 357SIG. Lately, I've gone back to 9mm, simply because I get a couple more rounds in the mag, and its cheaper to practice with. +P+ 9mm and 357SIG, running at the same pressures, will give pretty much the same performance with bullets of the same weight, so why not.
Still nothing wrong with .45, but since they all pretty much perform the same these days, with proper ammo choice, I'd rather have a similar or smaller sized gun that has a higher capacity, and shoots cheaper ammo. Of all of them, .45 is still the most expensive in that respect.
