That may be true but to each their own. I don't collect firearms, I utilize them as tools and am certain a fair number of others here do as well. I enjoy looking at a color case hardened single action, I think the 1911A1 is a perfect design, I've even owned an engraved Beretta 16 gauge side by side. But for me and my foundations as a military shooter, black and ugly is fine. Dependability and accuracy count for me.
I do have a friend who collects Glock, however.
