I do live in the state, but I don't think there's a snowball's chance in an oven of this ban being repealed. The Republicans in the state legislature even passed it. For me, the most egregious part is the ban on the AR-15. I could live with the magazine limitations and the background checks for ammunition and so forth. Yeah it's a pain, but I mean nothing for the most part would be banned, they would just be making it more difficult to acquire certain things. Heck, I could live with a limitation of five-round magazines.

But actually banning the AR-15 I really dislike. I was planning to buy one as only recently I'd gotten into guns, but didn't have the $$$. I guess now I will just be limited to a Ruger Mini-14, Springfield M1A, and shotgun. Signed the petition though.
