Even if I could find 7.62x39 brass and it was economically feasible to reload (FMJ bullets alone are close to the price of new steel-cased ammo), my AK throws it so far forward and to the right that it would be hard to get it all back. Something to think about if you shoot at a public range.
A simple mosquito net over a PVC frame will knock down your brass in the AK some shooting ranges even have those installed between the stalls. In the SKS it very easy to modify the gas tube drilling two to three small hole of the proper dia. and in a specific position just below where the nipple fits into the gas tube.

This vent off excess gas pressure which effect bolt speed and ejection patterns basically dumping the brass right at your feet,it doesn't effect velocity or accuracy the mod should be done on a spare tube.
