I carry all the time when I go hiking. A Ruger Super Redhawk w/7.5" brl. in a shoulder holster and a GP 100 6" on my hip. It's a lot of steel but I find it to be fun, and it gives me a better workout. After a season or two I don't even notice it any more. I don't have a concealed weapons permit...But I don't need one in the wild, I love Idaho! During winter My BIG coat on my 5'11" 135lb frame makes the redhawk dissappear. And for some reason I don't feel under-gunned.
