i am currently employed by the Florida Dept. of Corrections, and i was wondering about the issue of Concealed Carry Permit. i am told that as long as we have photographic representation that i am a certified officer that i do not need a concealed weapons permit to carry off-duty. does this mean i can simply photo copy my state I.D. tag which has the florida statute number identifying me as being state certified? does that allow me to carry in other states? i have gotten several different answers to these questions.if anyone knows for sure or at least can tell me in laymans terms. i hate trying to decipher the lawyer-speak of the statutes. thank you
