All suggestions posted before me has been great so far.

Since my personal experience is with the M&P 15 Sport, I give it my full endorsement. Some will knock it but their owners are more than happy to own one.

If you have to have a dust cover/forward assist, I also have the M&P 15 OR. It's a great rifle as well.
