I just put a Clark 460 setup together on a Caspian race-ready recon frame. The ammo provided is a 260 gr LBT,very wide meplat,At this point, this bullet is not feeding reliably.I have more work to do.It chronos 1250 fps.
I don't think most folks think in terms of .460 Rowland as a typical SD round.
The 24 lb recoil spring in itself would have drawbacks for SD.
I think the Clark brake delays unlocking, and helps make it work.
On the accuracy question,a large part of 1911 accuracy is workmanship.Clark fitted his kit to the frame, and my brother, who owns the gun, asked me to fit a safety, and things took off from there. What Mr Clark put together is excellent. All it will need for accuracy is good ammo and someone who can shoot.
