While they may look similar, the Zero and MG bullets are nothing like the Hornady XTP. The Zero and MG bullets are not designed to expand like the XTP. They were designed more for target shooting, where the hollow point provides a higher ballistic coefficient by moving the center of gravity closer to the rear of the bullet.
If you are target shooting, get the Zero or MG, whichever is cheaper. If you are making defensive ammunition, get the XTP's.
