I'd go wth the XD-45. I got one last summer and was very impressed. so were all my 1911nut friends. (I have 6 1911s, 2 colt series 70, 2 SAs, 2 systema 27s), but from now on, the XD is my primary carry gun. Open carry in AZ, so no concealment problems. Great gun and reasonably priced, plus you get an extra mag, a functional holster, 2 mag. belt loop holder, and mag. loading tool for one price.
A good deal I think.
