Does look good. I find that it's a very interesting look with the old school Pachmayr grip on it, because I've seen half a lifetime of old blued K-frames with the Pachmayr Gripper SK-G on it (many of them...my own, ) but you just don't too often see a full-lug L-frame with them because they made many less of them than the stainless L-frames. That it's a fixed-sight 581 makes it even more uncommon.

The look ends up saying, "I'm a Model 10 that's been working out!"

What's the recent history on this revolver? Did it come to your hands with a major finish problem? Why did you elect to send to S&W in the first place? Do you have any "BEFORE" pictures? How much did Mama Smith charge for a re-finish, and what was the turnaround time?

Or is there a whole other thread on this that I missed?
