Yup, I would take a close look at the firing pin block to make sure it's moving completely out of the way so the firing pin can move unimpeded. These systems need to be timed properly and have full travel or they will snag the firing pin and slow it down. See if there are any nicks or marks on the firing pin. It should be clean and smooth. These systems work well but they have to be set up with very little error to be reliable.
