Close Encounters..of the worst kind
Beginning with the February issue, S.W.A.T. will be starting a new column: Close Encounters…of the worst kind. The column will focus on real-life occurrences experienced by our readers in which a citizen saved his own life, others, or stopped a crime by being lawfully armed. I invite TFL members to participate in this column by sending your stories to me via e-mail.
Of great interest would be what type of weapon and ancillary gear was used, what tactics were necessary and the final outcome.
Finally, and most importantly, what lessons were learned from the incident that can be passed on to help save innocent lives in the future. What went right? What went wrong? What would you do the same and what would be your "do-over." No one is in a better position to honestly critique his actions than the person it actually happened to.
Stories should be kept to a maximum of 1,000 words, and may be subject to editing.
Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences and helping save lives.
