I'm in the process of wrapping up a project '97 Winchester and I need help getting the wooden forarm over the action slide. Wood is beautiful and I'm afraid I'll crack it if I try any harder to put it on the action slide. I've thought about baby powder or maybe graphite. I don't know. I know the wood needs to be tight on the action slide BUT...........

Any help will be appreciated and judged on the technical merits
