I have heard (so it must be true
), that the polymer grips on some of the cheaper plastic guns have deformed when left in the TX level summer inferno.
I hesitate to name brands as I have not seen such a gun.
I do know that 9mm and 45 ACP rounds will not be cooked off by the temperature of the clothes dryer. However, the significant other may be cooked off
by that unintentional 'experiment'.
