I had some trouble at first with the amax in 243. Try to measure the throat of the rifle then set your seating depth to about 50 thousandths off of the lands. I have found best results with 38.5 grains of h4350 with fire formed and neck sized cases.
By the way my rifle is a rem 700sps varmint with a 1-9 1/8 twist.
