With all of the pocket 9's that are out there, go with a 9mm. I have a Kahr PM9 and I pocket carry mine regularly in a Desantis Nemesis. I just carry my wallet in front of it to break up the outline. There are a lot more defensive loads for 9mm and even target ammo is much cheaper than .380. I have a Beretta Tom Cat in .32, but the difference in size and weight is almost negligable.
