With 150s, deer are toast to 350. I'd use premium 165s for Elk and limit my shots to 200. Don't listen to that dribble about 1200fps with a 150 reliably killing an Elk. Data from hunters, guides, and media over more than 30 years has settled on an impact velocity of at least 2000fps with a controlled expanding bullet in calibers from 270Win to 340 Weatherby.
