Excellent! The presence of the "hump" does not indicate the circumstances of use of the part, whether it is to be used functionally during reloading or as an administrative tool for things like lowering the slide on an empty chamber with a mag in the gun.
Maybe it was designed to do both? Maybe it wasn't.
Unless a manufacturer's manual specifically says not to drop the slide using the lever, then I don't have a problem using it for that purpose. Regardless of the intent of the design, it does function well for that, but to
know the intention of the design is a whole other matter.
