The CZ's, both decocker and safety models are designed to be safely carried at half cock. That reduces the trigger travel, and make it manageable for those that are finger/hand length challenged.

For home defense, I'd get a full sized CZ like an all steel SP-01 or 75B, however the PCR can double for carry, as can the P-01 or Compact. They are all really fines pistols.

I have a 75B, and PCR, plus the Kadet Kit for cheap practice, and fun plinking.
