New York Post, Hauer couldn't find a laser pointer, so he used the gun.

Not only was it not the
smartest thing to do, it wasn't
smart at all. He also claimed the gun was empty, which is one of the most frightening assertions in the English language to me.
No mention of his permit being revoked or charges being brought. That's odd.
