Dillon 650 XL press problem

I recently bought a Dillon 650 XL press with conversion kits for my favorite caliburs. I had just converted the press to load .223 Rem. and was through the setup stage, powder charge, seating & crimping etc. and was loading up a first test load for .223 Rem (My first time ever loading rifle ammo mind you).

on the fifth round the last (now finished) round stuck on the stage instead of dropping off the back into the catch bin. I was in the middle of the downstroak to prime the next case. The stuck round caused the plastic cam that advances the stage on the downstroak to break! :barf: I get this uuggh feeling, how could I?

I called Dillon and they promptly shipped me both the part and a calibration gage to set the stage synced up with the stage advancement cam free of charge. My only concern is that the cam should be metal vs. plastic I think, that way it would stand up a little better.

Anyone here ever have a similar problem with a Dillon press?
