Sounds like you are getting good advice here.

I am a firm believer in buying good used over cheap new.

You can buy a $600-$800 new retail gun with less than 1000 rounds for $400 and as long as it is cared for you will always have a $400 gun. A $400 new Uberti or any $400 new gun will be a $200 gun 1 minute after you buy it.
